Scope

This policy applies to the Privateer IT, LLC public website and the forms it contains. It does not apply to information Privateer IT handles under a federal contract, which is governed by that contract, the applicable system of records notice, and the agency's own privacy program.

What we collect

Privateer IT collects only what a visitor chooses to submit, plus the technical information any web server necessarily receives.

Information you submit

• General contact form: name, email address, subject, and message.
• Federal inquiry form: the fields above plus agency or organization, requirement area, contract vehicle of interest, procurement timeframe, work location or clearance requirement, and teaming interest.
• Announcement signup: email address only.
• Employment applications: handled entirely on our external recruiting portal, which is operated by a third party under its own privacy policy. This website does not collect application materials.

Information collected automatically

• Standard web server logs generated by our hosting provider, which may include IP address, user agent, requested page, and timestamp.
• This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies of its own and, as of the date above, runs no web analytics.

How submissions are processed

This is a static website with no application server of its own. Form submissions are therefore relayed to us by a third-party form service rather than being stored on this site.

1. You submit a form.
2. The contents are transmitted over an encrypted connection to FormSubmit.co, a third-party form-relay service.
3. FormSubmit.co delivers the contents to the Privateer IT business email inbox.
4. The submission is then handled inside Privateer IT's business email and business systems.

Because a third-party service performs the relay, your submission passes through — and may be temporarily retained by — that provider's systems under its own terms and privacy policy. Privateer IT does not control that provider's retention or security practices. We state this plainly rather than claiming that submitted information is never shared, because the relay step is a real disclosure.

How we use information

We use what you submit to respond to your inquiry, to evaluate a potential contract, teaming, or employment relationship, and to send announcements you have asked to receive. We do not sell information submitted through this website, and we do not use it for advertising.

Third-party services

Visiting this website causes your browser to contact the following third parties. Each receives your IP address and standard request information as a technical necessity of serving the content.

• GitHub Pages — website hosting and delivery.
• Google Fonts — typefaces are loaded from Google's font service on every page.
• Google Maps — an embedded map appears on the Contact page.
• FormSubmit.co — relays form submissions to our inbox, as described above.
• Our external recruiting portal — linked from the Careers page and operated under its own privacy policy.

What not to submit

This website is a public, commercial website. It is not an approved system for sensitive government information. Do not submit through any form on this site:

• Classified information of any level.
• Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
• Procurement-sensitive or source-selection information.
• Personally identifiable information (PII) about third parties.
• Protected health information (PHI).

If a discussion requires any of the above, contact us by telephone and we will arrange an appropriate channel.

Security

Submissions are transmitted over encrypted connections, and access to the receiving inbox is limited to Privateer IT personnel with a business need. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we do not represent that this website provides the protections required for classified, controlled, or otherwise sensitive government information.

Retention

Inquiries are retained in our business systems for as long as needed to respond and to maintain a record of business development and contract activity, and in any event no longer than 24 months from the last contact, unless a longer period is required by a contract or by law. Announcement subscribers are retained until they unsubscribe.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from announcements at any time by replying to any announcement email or contacting us directly.
• Request access, correction, or deletion of information you submitted through this website by contacting us at the address below. We will respond within a reasonable period.
• Block third-party requests using browser settings or extensions. The site remains readable, though fonts and the embedded map may not render.

Children

This website is directed to federal agencies, industry partners, and prospective employees. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the website changes. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Material changes — such as adding analytics or a new third-party service — will be reflected here before the change takes effect.
